Golf Simulator Product Shortlists

Start with the component you need. Each shortlist compares specific products and the room, software or installation trade-offs that should decide the purchase. The entry, full-bay and premium routes use different selections; a whole-room budget is never treated as the budget for every component.

Use the calculator to choose a build first, or compare the parts below. Existing gear, available floor area and the screen dimensions can change which tier is sensible.

Launch monitors

Measure the unit-to-ball and ball-to-screen distances for the exact model. A radar monitor that fits the budget can still fail the room. Include the software and display in your total.

Hitting mats

A strike pad is not a standing mat. Include a level stance surface, check the mat's thickness against ceiling clearance, and choose a replaceable hitting area if wear is likely to be concentrated.

Enclosures

Measure finished frame dimensions, screen setback and the swing area. DIY kits can exclude pipe. An enclosure is not a launch monitor, projector or installation service unless those are explicitly included.

Impact screens

Buy for your frame's mounting dimensions, not the room width alone. Allow the maker's rear clearance and match the attachment method. Screen replacement does not include a new enclosure.

Projectors

Calculate throw distance from screen width and the exact lens ratio. Then check brightness, resolution and mount position. Open-box condition is not the same as factory-refurbished; check hours, accessories and returns.

Practice nets

Verify whether the listing is netting alone or a complete frame. Leave clearance around the catching area and inspect wear before each session. A net cannot make an unsafe swing space safe.

Putting surfaces

Measure usable flat floor area and storage space. A large modular green and a roll-up mat solve different jobs. These products do not include outdoor excavation, drainage or a contractor.

Flooring and turf

Match the floor height to the hitting mat. Landing pads fit particular enclosures and are not interchangeable room-floor kits. Check dimensions and what is included before paying.

Tees and alignment aids

Keep loose aids outside the club and ball path. A tee holder must suit the mat; alignment aids guide setup but do not measure a shot. These are accessories, not a replacement for a safe net and mat.

Software and computers

Confirm exact monitor compatibility, operating system, graphics requirements and license renewal. An E6 license is not automatically valid for every monitor. Open-box computers require an exact configuration and condition check.

Room packages

Check every package's component list. A studio can exclude the monitor, and shipping a package is not installing it. Allow separately for room preparation, fitting labor and ongoing software.
